Along with its attractive style comes plenty of utility and a quick and sporty driving character that enhances the typical three-row family shuttle.Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are newly available.Retuned suspension for a smoother ride.New surround-view parking camera system.

PROS
Premium interior, especially the top-level Signature trim
Sporty handling
Comfortable and quiet on the highway

CONS
Cargo capacity isn't as generous as in competitors
Third-row seats aren't especially accommodating

The 2019 Mazda CX-9 delivers heavily on style, but it’s just adequate in other respects.

Pros
Gorgeous sheetmetal
Near-luxury interior
Widely available safety tech
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, finally

Cons
No touchscreen functionality
Not as much space as competitors
Limited options
No hybrid alternative

By:

thecarconnection.com

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto finally join the spec sheet for 2019 and are standard on Touring, Grand Touring, and Signature trims. Mazda has included a list of other optional features for 2019 as well, which includes ventilated front seats, a 360-degree-view exterior camera system, SiriusXM Travel Link (live traffic and weather updates, among other things), a digital gauge display, power-folding exterior mirrors, and a frameless rearview mirror. The luxurious Signature trim now comes with a new wood trim inside and exclusive exterior badging.

Pros
Sweetest-driving three-row,
fuel-efficient powertrain,
near-luxury interior.

Cons
Compromised cargo room,
tight third row,
no second-row captain's chairs.

The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SUV comes with all wheel drive. Available transmissions include: 1-speed direct drive.Adds air vents and USB port for rear passengers.LED headlights and high beams now standard on GT trim.Restyled wheel, front grille and bumper designs.

PROS
Delivers plug-in SUV utility without luxury SUV price
Offers a generous list of standard features
Can travel up to 22 miles solely on electric battery charge
Sophisticated all-wheel drive offers stability on slippery surfaces

CONS
Unlike regular Outlander, it doesn't offer a third row
Small gas tank limits overall range
Low ground clearance hinders off-road ability
Limited Mitsubishi dealer network

By:

The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander is a solid option outside of the usual crossover SUV choices but is often forgotten for a reason.

Pros
Good base features
Large touchscreen standard
Available all-wheel drive across the range
Updated styling for 2019

Cons
Cheap interior feel
Overworked inline-4
Thirsty, underpowered V-6
Tight third row
Expensive active safety tech

By:

thecarconnection.com

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is a roomy SUV that’s very economical for short journeys if you can plug it in to charge the battery – it’s just a shame it looks a bit drab and doesn’t drive that well

Pros
Cheap to run on short journeys
Quiet around town
Roomy back seats

Cons
Terrible infotainment system
Unsettled on bumpy roads
Drab interior
