This year, the big change to the X5 lineup can be summed up in three words: even more performance. BMW has added a fourth member to the stable, the M50i, which pummels the asphalt with 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque from its turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8—up 67 horsepower and 74 lb-ft from the xDrive50i's similar 4.4-liter V-8. The M50i package includes a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, an M Sport exhaust, bigger brakes, and sportier suspension tuning with adaptive dampers.

Pros
Inspiring engines,
top-notch build quality,
easy-to-use infotainment system.

Cons
Steering feel is in short supply,
third row is for small fry only,
no Android Auto capability.

Lincoln's flagship SUV is now available for 2021 with an optional Monochromatic appearance package, which swaps out exterior chrome trim with darkened alternatives and replaces silver-painted wheels with black ones. Elsewhere, Lincoln has swapped out four of the Navigator's exterior colors—Asher Gray, Flight Blue, Green Gem, and Signature Navy—for four new ones—Iced Mocha, Silver Jade, Blue Diamond, and Rhapsody Blue.

PROS
Plenty of power from twin-turbo V-6,
super-spacious cabin,
high-end appearance.

CONS
Gas-guzzling powertrain,
difficult to maneuver in traffic and when parking,
harsh ride over big bumps.
